Since the inception of the automobile, cars, especially those who compete on a drag strip have been known for their stylish features. And people like Eddie Hollon from Boerne, Texas use their passion, creativity and artistic talents to shape these hot rods into the quickest accelerating works of art known to man.
Hollon is the son of Roy Hollon, a former drag boat racer, who made the cross over to asphalt racing in 1976 with his Pro Stock Dodge Challenger at Alamo Dragway in the mid to late 1970’s. He then took on off road racing, mud drags and even tractor pulling with his son Eddie also competing in a second family entry. Eddie returned to the quarter mile in 1996 behind the wheel of a Super Pro 1969 Camaro. “I loved going to watch my Dad race in every motorsport possible and growing up around the track, I was able to see some really awesome designs,” Hollon said. “In all forms of racing, these cars are little works of art and I wanted to try to come up with my own ideas.”
